Okay, so J.K. Rowling only used the fated phrase twice. But it seemed like a lot more as I was reading it before. Kind of like the two times she used “look of dawning comprehension” and the three, perhaps, times she used the eyes=great glassy orbs analogy.

Anyhow, here you are.

“However, Griphook had eyes for nobody but Harry.” -P411

“But Harry had eyes only for the man who stood in the largest portrait directly behind the Headmaster’s chair.” -P598-599

And some rather amusing ones, I’d say (sexual innuendos, that is):

“At the moment he felt that nobody mattered but Voldemort. It was just the two of them…he stared as Harry moved towards him, with nothing but fire between them.” -P563-564

“…wrapped in each other…” -P592, Harry and Voldemort of course.

Not to mention the countless wand innuendos.

So yeah. I’ll be reading Half Blood Prince next if i ever find it.

I don’t know how many times I’ve read Deathly Hallows now but it’s going to have to be once more.

Why the hell hasn’t Harry corrected his eyesight with magic yet?

And you know what’s ironic? In Elphias Doge’s obituary-deal at the beginning, it mentions that “…[Dumbledore was] working always for the greater good…” (P24) Lulz.

Coming up next! A complete list of every time J.K. Rowling uses the phrase “had eyes only for…” in Deathly Hallows.

Summer’s been good, I guess. Haven’t really done much. Except I have health now, which means I have to wake up early for the next two or three weeks. However long it is until July 17. Which means I probably can’t go to Warped, which is July 16. Goddamn.

And you guys probably haven’t heard of it, but I got a table in the Artist’s Alley at Otakon, this anime convention in Baltimore (I don’t go actually go for the anime, btw) so I’ll be selling shit there.

Mhm, so after I read that book, Skinny Bitch, I’ve stopped drinking milk. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Also, Zach, if I come up with no other solution, I’m coming over to edit my video. Just by the way. Oh, we can have an old school NHD party where we chill at your house and order pizza.

I’m going to go photoshop something. I really rather hope my photoshop works.

Plot holes much?

I re-read Goblet of Fire today. I think I’ll read Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows later. Yeah, skipping Order of the Phoenix.

Plot hole #1:
Harry’s eyes were closed when Cedric was killed. (P638, “…and he could see nothing at all…”) Ergo, he didn’t actually see him being killed. But this “not-actually-seeing-the-act-of-murder” thing makes sense when the horseless carriages come floating up to Hogwarts at the end of the book, still horseless. (P725-726, “…the horseless carriages that were now trundling toward them up the drive…) Until…

Plot hole #2:
He magically sees thestrals at the beginning of OotP. Wtf? There’s a time limit on how long the memory must haunt you before you can see thestrals?

Also, if all it took for him to see the thestrals was “a blast of green light blaz[ing] through Harry’s eyelids…” (P638) then..how about when he was a baby?

Yeah, I take my Harry Potter seriously. More to come, perhaps, after HBP and DH.

PS: The Cab is amazing. I have the CD if anyone wants it, but I’m running out of blank CDs.

PPS: My Photoshop is not working, and it’s driving me crazy. I appear to be having this problem, except I don’t have an Application Data folder. wtf? (But I deleted the preference files via ctrl+alt+shift when starting it up, but that didn’t work either.) Also, I don’t want to delete my printer, as it’s kind of the only one in the house that works.

PPPS: My tabs won’t drag and drop in Firefox. When I tried it just now, I got really excited because the little arrow showed up that signals that ‘drag and drop’ is working, but then it disappeared.
